Australian Charme

The Harcourt Street House in Brisbane is an inner-city alteration and addition delivered by Craig Channon Architects. This project overhauled a completely rundown worker’s cottage, transforming it into a wonderfully, contemporary residence.

The client wanted a slightly smaller house, to take advantage of the site’s northern facing vantage. Together the builder and designers have succeeded in creating a warm, open, and transparent interior. An elevated outdoor room is the new addition to this vernacular and it affords the home sweeping views of Newstead and Teneriffe.
